நாட்டில் இடம்பெற்ற யுத்தத்தின் காரணமாக கைவிடப்பட்ட பரந்த இரசாயன தொழிற்சாலை மீண்டும் ஆரம்பிக்கப்படவுள்ளதாக கலாசார மற்றும் பௌத்த சாசன விவகாரங்கள் அமைச்சர் ஹினிதும சுனில் செனவி தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

ஆப்ப சோடா (கோஸ்டிக் சோடா) மற்றும் க்ளோரின் உற்பத்தி தொழிற்சாலையாக இது ஆரம்பிக்கப்படவுள்ளதாக அவர் தெரிவித்தார்.

The Minister of Cultural and Buddhist Affairs, Hinithuma Sunil Senevi, has announced that the vast chemical factory that was abandoned due to the war that took place in the country will be reopened.

He said that it will be reopened as a caustic soda and chlorine manufacturing factory.

With the feasibility studies for reopening the factory now complete, the factory will make a nationally significant contribution to ensuring the security of the country’s water resources.

Through the reopening of the factory, 150 people will directly gain employment opportunities.

Approximately two thousand people will start earning income indirectly.

Minister Hinithuma Sunil Senevi continued to mention that the Paranthan Chemical Factory will be developed as a private-public joint venture with the participation of local and foreign investors.
